Labor Day weekend

Friday was my hubby's 30th Birthday and I wanted to make it special for him. I had ordered him a waterproof and skip proof cd player for his jeep and I couldnt stand it any longer I had to give it to him 5 days early. I totally hate waiting for surprises. Well had one more big surprise for him that I couldn't give away. I had totally booked us a room at the Marriott for the night and mom was going to watch our lil man. Well Jason almost blew the plans several times. The first: he was feeding jackson one night and was talking to his mom on the phone (she knows the plan too) anyways she is asking jason if he wants to go dove hunting with his dad saturday, ugh Margaret what were you thinking, so he gets off the phone with her and he tells me his plan to call his friend and go with his dad. CRAP I rush in the other room and call her back and she says o my I totally forgot lol. Well I call his friends wife and tell her to somehow get her husband out of going if he calls and not to let him borrow his gun. It wasnt 5 min later he calls his friend, I am laughing to myself for being so sneaky, he later comes to tell me he thinks there is something wrong with Charlie...lmao. He said "I invited him and he said he had other plans which was fine but I asked if I could borrow his gun and he acts like he doesnt want to let me borrow it. Well then I remember his brother hunts too so I called my sis in law and tell her. Ok Hunting issue solved. Problem #2 : He texts me the very next day and asks if he can go golfing that friday (he has already taken off work) and also tells me he wants to play 36 holes and would be done around 7pm. Ok we already have plans to go eat for his bday that night so I tell him no he can play in the morning but has to be home by 2 to get ready for our date. Told him mom has already taken off work an hour early to watch him for a couple hours. yay got this issued solved quick. Well Friday rolls around and thankfully he does get back in time and got our clothes bag already in the trunk and am getting our toiletry bag packed as he's in the shower. Well I grab his deo b/c he has 2 packs in his drawer not thinking he is going to notice it, well he gets out of the shower and asks "wheres my deo" crap now he usually would not have noticed this but I casually played it off and said I dont know hurry up and get ready. Then he looks for his shoes he wants to where and where are they but in the car packed and ready to go. I am franticing now, so we go eat and pull up to the Marriott and he finally gets it. lol lol. I had so much fun planning this present for him and he was like you have totally out done yourself and he said how am I going to top this.....

Wow totally forgot to blog

Well welcome back me...I kinda forgot to blog. I guess when a baby comes along things really do change like everyone kept telling me. O well they have definitely changed but for the better, Me and Jason was just talking about how we got along in life without our little man. Speaking of him he is now 4 months old, 17lbs 8 oz (as of last week) and almost 28 in long. Yes we have a big boy and sooo sweet. Jason has kept him all summer long and since school has started back he is now in his 2nd week of daycare :( and has already gotten sick. I took him to his regular doctor on a Friday and Dr just said it was just a cold (didn't hardly spend anytime listening to him or looking in his ears) gave us a rx for cough syrup and sent us on our way. Well I knew there was something more to this sickness (a momma knows) We ended up taking him to an urgent care on Tuesday night because his little cough was getting worse, he was pulling at his ears, wheezing, and not sleeping through the night in which he had up unto this point. Well the nurse practitioner spent alot of time with Jackson listening to him and doing a thorough exam on him and come to find out he had ear infections and an upper respiratory infection. She gave him a breathing treatment right there in office and since the pharmacies were already closed she put some ear drops in his ears, gave us a rx for antibiotics and ear drops and ever since has been getting better and better every day. So needless to say I am switching doctors and not just because of this incident but there are other reasons. Well thats about all now, I just got him to sleep so I better head that way too. Still waiting on AUnt Becca to come visit, I was thinking maybe next week, I didnt know if you would want to come up thursday and spend the day with us friday. I will call you and let you know.

Jackson

Well he is 2 wks old today. Born April 12, 2010 at 9:15 (my daddy's bday also). Born 8lbs 12 oz, 21 3/4 in long and head was 14 1/2 in. Was in labor for 14 hours and had to push for 2hrs 15 min. It went really smooth until my epidural ran out after 2 hrs of pushing so had to push the last 15 min with nothing, which was the worst part. But totally worth it. We took him to the doctor today for his two week check up and already weighs 9lbs 4 oz, 22 1/4 in long and head was 15 in. Doctor said he looked and sounded good, have to go back in two more weeks to get his 2nd hep b shot, which i dread him crying. I also dread going back to work. Wish I was rich so I could stay home with my baby. The first week we were home, I guess I had the blues, cause I would cry at the drop of a hat and doesnt help I didnt sleep the first 3 days we were home, was too worried at every sound he made at night and then I wouldnt sleep during the day due to lots of visitors and I just didn't want to miss anything. But I am totally better now, just took about a week for my hormones to settle down. I will probably ball my eyes out the day I have to go back to work, but Jason will be staying with him, he will be out of school when I go back so hopefully that will work out. Anyways will keep you posted on all the upcoming events of Jackson's life.

The time has come

Well it is almost here!!! Went to the doctor the other day and she looked at my weight gain, blood pressure and my Cankles and said we need to induce you. Woohoo. Probably will be the only time I get excited about these three things. Well she scheduled me to go in on Monday Morning which is by the way my dad's bday. He is so excited about this. And so am I. After I got done at the doctor's office I called all my important people to tell them the good news. Well got my bags packed and about to head to the grocery store to get some groceries and cook later today so we will have some food in the freezer for when we come home. I will let you know if he comes early or makes his debut April 12

getting uncomfortable

Ok so today I am 38 1/2 weeks pregnant. I go to the doctor tomorrow where she will schedule me a time to be induced. I am really hoping she schedules me this week. I am not actually due til April 17 but he really needs to come soon. It has gotten so uncomfortable lately. For example at night I lay on my sides to sleep and wake up every hour with my arms and hands are asleep. Also wake up every hour to go to the bathroom. You should see me trying to get up out of the couch, takes me a few minutes, lol. My belly has gotten so big that the top part under my bra is really raw from my bra rubbing it, yeah I know sexy right. Me and Jason went shopping the other night and walked for like 4 hours, have been walking alot when I get home from work because they say it helps bring on labor but so far nothing. Well hopefully I will get good news tomorrow. Will let you know

Baby Weight

Well had my checkup again today and blood pressure has been stable. The doctor did an ultrasound to take measurements to see how much Jackson weighs. She started with his head and she said wow he has a big head, lol. If we went just on his measurements from his head he would be due in two days. She also measured his belly and femur bone which by those measurements he is right on schedule. She estimated him weighing aprox. 7 lbs now, so if he goes 3 more weeks (they usually gain 1/2 lb a week he could possibly be between 8 and 9 pounds. She said I can keep working if my bp stays normal and I guess just let him come when he's ready unless he gets too big or I hit the 40 wk mark. I really don't want to go over 40 wks. They will probably have to induce me though because this whole pregnancy he's been so stubborn, he probably doesn't want to come out. Well that's about all going on right now in my life, just patiently waiting.....hope these last few wks come fast. That's all for now, got one more shower to go on Saturday and my next appt is on April Fool's....hmmm wouldn't that be funny if he decides to come and no one believes me.

Blood Pressure

Well went in Friday for my regular checkup with plans on going shopping afterwards....well doctor shot my plans to crap. LOL Well did my bloodpressure and it was way elevated, ugh. So she told me to go straight home and start doing bedrest. Well she also told me I should stay home all week, but asked her if I could go back to work Tuesday and keep check on it. She said that was fine but the first time it peaks I need to go home for good. So went home Friday and layed down pretty much the whole weekend, checked my bp at home and it was fine. Bedrest is so boring unless you have bunches of movies or good books to read, in which I had none. It was funny Saturday and Sunday Jason stayed home with me all weekend and said I guess Im on bedrest too, he stayed on the couch with me and took naps all weekend, lol. Sympathy pains i guess. Well Monday I kinda did some little stuff around the house but I would rest in between activities and my bp stayed monitored. Went back to work today and was good except after Lunch...which we had Mexican and I think that spiked it for a few min. but now its ok well except the nasty case of heartburn I have now. I just have to make it a few more days, go back to doctor Thursday to do another ultrasound to see how much he weighs (feels like a ton to my back and bladder) Then hopefully I can make it to my last shower in HSV Saturday nite, so excited about seeing my gals again. Let's hope I can hold out, Plus Saturday he will be considered full term at 37 weeks!! woohoo.

Scary Last Tuesday

Well I am almost there!! This weekend I will be 36 wks pregnant and couldn't be happier, except for the constant back pain that will hopefully go away after Jackson gets here. I did have a scare last week though. When I was driving to work last Tuesday, I started feeling something twinge in my back then it would go away and then come back. I so thought I was having back contractions. Well get to work and tell the girls and they were like call you doc right now, well I went ahead and seen my first patient, thankfully was a kid so didn't take too long and had several more of the twinges. So called Doc and she said I need to take two Tylenol, drink glass of cold ice water and lay down for one hour then call her back. So thankfully I have a friend that lives by and my boss let me go to her house. Well laid there and only had 3 within the hour. She then told me to come in and she would check me. Well got there and wasn't dilated or anything. Well since I had been having so much problems with backaches she said it was more than likely my back muscles cramping up so she gave me some muscle relaxers to take when I needed them (which she said are safe for baby). She gave me a note for work for the day and I went home and crashed and slept for like 4 hours. I felt alot better after taking them and they seem to help after a hard day of scraping. Got another dr appt on Friday and then will be going every week after that. She will continue to measure my belly and hopefully next week will do another ultrasound to estimate how much he weighs!!!

Its been too long

Well sorry to keep you waiting, but I totally forgot to blog. This pregnancy has totally made me forget everything. Thanks to Becca I now remember to blog. Well today I am 34 weeks pregnant but my belly is measuring 35 wks. Doc says it's going to be a big baby. Well I couldve told her that lol. We had my shower today and my two bestest hyg girls were there, actually they spent the night last night and we hung out and had so much fun. Think I'm giving them baby fever!!! Anywhoo I totally can't wait til Mr. Jackson gets here, I am so ready to see what he looks like and just hold him. My best friend Hollie had her baby last Friday so this has really made me want my baby here too. My pregnancy has gone awesome so far, except the past couple weeks of back pain o yeah and the forgetfulness. Well going to go after this short blog, already put up all of Jackson's things from today and packed him a bag for the hospital, now need to work on mine and Jason's hospital bag. Hopefully it won't be too much longer. TaTa

New Beginnings

Well I know it's been awhile but sorry, trying to keep busy. Good news is I finally landed a full time job here in my town. YAY. He even hired me knowing I was pregnant, which shows you he must be good to work for. Well I have been super busy planning a baby shower for my BFF Hollie for this up coming weekend. Didn't realize how much it took to plan something. She is also throwing me one in a couple weeks too. Finally got the nursery done also, it looks so good, now all I need is the baby to put in it. They say this is the hard part after everything is done is the waiting game. Well only got 3 mos to go. So excited and can't even put into words how much I want him here. But I will be patient like I've tried to be with everything else going on in my life. Until next time
